RacingTDI.com is my personal tuning project's website. I have this car since 1999 and since the first day I had in mind modifying the car to make it really different. I dedicated this site to all the VW and TDI enthusiast. This car was feature in some web sites and I always explained every modification in depth as well as the reason to do it. I think it is now the time that my project has his own site. As I have learned much from the information that I read on some websites I have visited about TDI, I want to give people some more resources to learn about this engine and of course the VW Golf IV.

VW Golf R Tdi
The car is a VW Golf TDI 110hp Highline. It was not my first Golf but it was my first diesel car. I have been into VWs since I was able to drive, never owned another brand of vehicle, it has always been a VW. Those days, when I bought it, the power of VW TDI engines was impressive, being economic and reliable too. There were no competition on the market. I made a lot of research on the Internet about what were the best mods to improve every component of the car. So if you are a TDI or Golf fan or just curious, bookmark this site and came here often because I have not finish my project yet. As you can see, the power of the engine is more that 2 times the original power. Still didn't have any reliability problem.

My goal was to achieve the 200hp from the 1.9l TDI engine. This goal was already achieved! Remember the original power is 110hp - More than increasing power, the handling and braking power are also very important for me. I take some attention to the exterior design and lately to the interior. A lot of inspiration from the performance mods came from all of the VW Golf TDI racing all over the world.

Probably I will do some more stuff on the engine. There is still some way to go changing the Turbo. So 270 or 280hp could be reached.

Some of you ask for movies of the car. I still didn't have the chance to do some. I will try to provide some movies in the future.



 

A dream became reality. After serious mods, my car double its stock power. In 16th September 2005 after several dyno runs, a record of 235,9hp was achieved. There should be only some TDI 110hp engines making this numbers, and most of them are racing probably. After changing the air intake and the camshaft, new tests were done and 251hp was acheived with the last chip. For the road a different chip with 242hp was choosen. The last upgrade as changing the brakes. I choose to install the Audi TT brakes because of its size, price and good brake performance. I will update thepage with these new mods soon. Some of you are asking for some movies. Well I have got a camera but still had no time to go and film some stuff. You are wondering for how much smoke you will see. Please came back often for news.
