The interior of my car didn't have much attention until I discover eBay.co.uk

This is a one of the most seen modifications to do on a Golf. The Audi TT OEM pedals fit exactly on the stock ones from the Golf. The Dead pedal is awesome, a must have if you change the pedals. You must purchase one of each of these part numbers: one brake pedal Cover, part number 8N0-721-173-A, one clutch pedal cover, part number 8N0-721-174-A-01C, one accelerator pedal cover, part number 8N1-721-647-B and the dead pedal part number is 8N1-864-777-A-4PK. The instructions are simple. Simple take your pedal covers off and put the new ones. The accelerator cover could be a little difficult to mount. Now, with some special versions being sold, you have some other options like the Golf R32 or Seat Leon Cupra R OE pedals. One thing Golf owners usually do is to change the interior dash trim for the Golf R32 aluminium trim. These dash kits include all Original equipment snap on pieces which replace the plain plastic dash trims. I choose not to install the aluminium kit. Instead, I choose one of the other options available in VW, the Gold net optic trim. This kit is a burnished gold colour with a fish net like pattern. This kit was installed in some Colour Concept versions pf the Golf and is available for cars with black, grey or beige interior. I bought this kit second hand at ebay. The kit has the following pieces: left console trim, right console trim, left door control panel trim, left door inside handle trim, right door handle trim, climatronic trim, ash tray trim, bottom console trim and a different cup holder. A special center console is also needed to cars not equipped with one of this kits. This console was also on the kit I bought. I have to buy the manual AC control trim, as this kit was on a climatronic equipped car. It is needed to fit the left, right and bottom trims. To mount all this stuff, its better to you to follow some do it yourself guide. I follow one available at www.vwvortex.com. Be careful doing this job, and if you have a friend helping you it will be easy. Fitting Bora Dash Vents to a Golf mk4 is a popular modification. Due to the contemporary design of the Bora vent that has a series of shutters to close the vent completely additionally they have illumination of the controls. The parts required to replace the Golf vents with Bora parts are the following: 1J1 819 703 E 2AQ ; 1J0 819 728 E 2AQ ; 1J1 819 704 E 2AQ ; 1J1 819 185 and 1J0 819 197 A. I decided not to illuminate de controls. The installation is faster. The right vent is fitted without screws, so you have to carefully remove it. Then, you have to Remove the centre Golf vents by unclipping the moving vents to gain access to the 2 retaining screws. Unplug all of the fascia switches from the vent panel. Screw the new Bora vent frame into position using the same screws that previously held the Golf vent in place. Fit the fascia switches into the new vent panel, and clip the Bora vent into position. To remove the left vent, first you will need to remove the headlamp switch to gain access to the retaining screw. To remove the switch, push the switch in and then simultaneously turn it clockwise to the 12'o'clock position, where it should hold. In this position the two retaining clips will be retracted and the switch can be pushed forwards out of the dash from behind. Remove the headlamp aim adjuster switch and the illumination dimmer switch from the vent panel, and unscrew the vent retaining screw. Remove the Golf Left vent and replace with the new Bora vent frame, before clipping in the new left vent.
I do not like chrome. The R32 door levers feature a brushed aluminium design that looks clean and sporty. there are some DIY steps on vwvortex so you can easily change the handles. Pay attention to the first picture, it could help you to locate the screws. One of the most difficult steps is to disconnect the door lock cable from the door unlock handle. I find it easiest to do if you stand on the inside of the door with the door panel in front of you and stick your head through the open window to get a better view. To remove the lock cable, you need to pull out on front edge of the cable retaining clip and then slide the clip toward the rear of the car (away from the unlock handle assembly). Once the clip is unhooked, remove the cable from the groove in the unlock handle assembly and then detach the hook from the unlock handle. These pins are a great addition, the perfect complement to the R32 door handles. Easy to change. Pay attention to a pin mark on the original pin and turn 180º to remove them. The part number for this R32 pins is 1C0 837 187 A 3Z9.
This sunglass holder replaces a grab handle in the headlining and provides a safe, secure place to store your sunglasses when not in use. Soft anti scratch lining and soft touch open/close. I did this change because the original piece broke.
