Why racingtdi? I made this site for the VW and TDI enthusiast who enjoy tuning their vehicles. The internet is the right place to exchange experiences and knowledge. As I learned a lot from TDI engines and tuning on the internet, I think I should help other people find the right resources too. I start tuning my Golf TDI almost when I bought it. Some years ago I never thought it would achieve the stage it is today. Starting off with modest performance upgrades, then 2 years ago it became clear in my mind what I wanted. During the summer of 2005 the car would under go extensive modifications which performance was the primary focus. It was my intention to create an enjoyable drivers car which would be capable of track use as well as day to day use. I should go to some track days and enjoy the power and torque of the engine. The name 'racing' comes from the spirit evolving the changes in styling and tuning of my car. The .:R logo from VW expresses that spirit too.

My name is Rui Augusto, I live in Portugal. I have another site related to tuning and cars. You can visit it in www.tuning.online.pt. You can think why there is in Portugal people capable of achieving this stage of tuning in a 110hp TDI? well there are some people with lots of knowledge in these areas and with some experience in TDI racing in Portugal and other countries. Later I will refer and thank them all. TDI engines became also very popular here.
